Jeffry Stanton hails from the east coast but is proud to now call Chicago his permanent artistic home.  Jeffry spent many years in New York City as an actor and much later an event coordinator for Broadway premieres and gala events. Selected directing credits include: Love War Death Life (American Theatre Company/Silver Project), many wonderful new shorts works (Chicago Dramatists/Saturday Series), I Am My Own Wife (Boston Center for American Performance), 1984 (Olney Theatre Center), Pope Joan (premiere production, Boston New Play Initiative), Seventh Street Café (Boston Playwrights’ Theatre), The Birthday Party, Iphigenia 2.0, One Flea Spare, Under Milk Wood, Machinal, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and A Number.  Jeffry served as the Assistant Director on the Chicago Dramatists’ premiere of Will Cooper’s Jade Heart and has assisted on Shining City (Robert Falls, Huntington Theatre Company, Boston), Somewhere in the Pacific (Jim Petosa, Potomac Theatre Project), Brendan (Justin Waldman, world premiere, Huntington Theatre Company), and Every Boy Deserves Favour (Jim Petosa, Boston University). As a collaborator, playwright, and adaptor, Jeffry has guided the creation of original works: Adaptations, based on the writings of the New England Transcendentalists; Oh, the Humanity!, a contemporary social vaudeville; and is currently developing a stage companion to Tanaz Eshaghian’s 2009 award-winning documentary, Be Like Others.  Jeffry received his BFA in Acting and MA in Theatre Education from Emerson College, and an MFA in Directing from Boston University.  He is an Associate Member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers. Jeffry lives in Beverly and shares his life with his partner Casey Hampton, 2 Pomeranians, and 4 cats.

 

Greg Owen-Boger, Managing Director

Greg Owen-Boger, Managing Director, Interrobang Theatre Project

Greg Owen-Boger brings a unique blend of creative, entrepreneurial and managerial experience to Interrobang. His career has included acting, directing, touring, writing and composing, as well as founding and running two companies, producing an independent film and training top executives in communication. Acting credits include lead roles in The Elephant Man, Little Shop of Horrors, Cinderella, A Chorus Line, The Marriage of Bette & Boo, Man of La Mancha, The Nerd and more ensemble roles than he can remember. Directing/Producing credits include the Chicago premiere of The Princess Bride, the world premiere of Just Around the Bend, The Little Mermaid, Leader of the Pack, Sweet Charity, Little Shop of Horrors, and too many embarrassing corporate events and musical murder mysteries to list. Business experience includes running a production company, managing projects for a boutique consulting firm to fortune 500s, operating a small business web development firm now in its 11th year, and running day-to-day operations for Turpin Communication. He is excited to be one of the newer additions of the Interrobang Theatre Project and looks forward to being part of the building of a world-class company. Greg shares his life with his partner of 16 years.

Joshua Grossman, Associate Artistic Director

Joshua Grossman has been in love with theatre since he was five and whether as an actor, designer, technician or consultant he’s never strayed too far from its skirts. He is excited to be a part of introducing Interrobang Theatre Project to the best city in the world.  When he’s not trying to raise money for ITP, Josh is a theatre consultant for Schuler Shook, bringing his love of theatre to the built environment.

Joseph Pindelski, Literary Manager

Joseph Pindelski has worked as a dramaturg with Goodman Theatre, American Repertory Theater, Inverse Theater, and the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute (NY). His dramaturgical credits include the world premieres of Best of Both WorldsThe Blue Flower (both A.R.T.), and Me (Inverse). He has also served as a critic for nytheatre.com and as a judge for the New York Innovative Theatre Awards. A Chicagoland native, Joe spent several years acting in New York and Washington, DC. He holds a master of fine arts degree in dramaturgy and theater studies from the American Repertory Theater/Moscow Art Theatre School Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University, and a bachelor of arts in drama and history from The Catholic University of America where he studied under Gitta Honegger.

Barbara Egel, Grant Writer

Barbara EgelBarbara Egel has been a writer and performer all her life and is excited to be part of the Interrobang crew. She hails from the southwest suburbs where the Joliet Drama Guild saved her nerdy adolescent self. At the University of Illinois-Urbana, she majored in Comparative Literature with a second emphasis in Performance Studies/Interpretation. Barbara is currently a consumer qualitative research consultant specializing in sensitive topics including mental health, kids and teens, LGBTQ, and women’s issues. In a past life, she was a writer of licensed multimedia products for children, directing recording sessions with performers from Cookie Monster to Scooby-Doo to Kathy Ireland. She is also a published poet, a sought-after writer and presenter in her field, and mother of a wonderful 20 year-old.
